What Sydney Metro Really Means
Converting ‘Sydenham – Bankstown’ to Metro is designed to fatten the wallets of property developers at the expense of the community
Cutting the Bankstown Line in half disconnects 9 stations between Berala – Carramar – Yagoona from the rest of Sydney

The Bankstown Line in 2036 according to the NSW Government's Sydney Rail Future Implementation Plan
(Latest Transport for NSW documents show St Peters and Erskineville on the T4 Illwarra Line only)

9 stations west of Bankstown will not have any trains to Sydney CBD: Berala, Regents Park, Sefton, Chester Hill, Leightonfield, Villawood, Carramar, Birrong and Yagoona
Increased Travel Times for Southwest Sydney
Converting Sydenham to Bankstown into Metro results in overall increase in travel times for most commuters west of Bankstown and up to 17 minutes for Liverpool to City commuters
19,000 Commuters Must Interchange Daily
Overcrowding at Lidcombe on the Western Line and Leppington Line will worsen with thousands of additional commuters forced to catch multiple trains to reach the City Circle
